A White Christmas

We had the unbelievable opportunity to spend a week with Grandma and Papa in Utah for Christmas. It was so much fun to wake up to a white Christmas. The kids had the time of their lives, playing in the snow, building snowmen, sleding, and most of all creating their Christmas play for all of us to enjoy. It was such a special time and I was not able to catch most of it in picture because my camera battery died before Christmas day even arrived. I did catch some cute pictures of the kids in the snow and sleding atleast to enjoy. The rest is on Video :)

Thanksgiving visit from the Scott's

It was such a pleasure to have Grandma and Papa Scott and Aunt Frachele come out for Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful time and our feast was yummalicious! While sitting around the table, Morgan came up with the idea on her own of each of us sharing what we are grateful for. She said some very sweet things, but proceeded tp look all around the room for just one more thing to add to the list :) She is so special and always reminds me to be grateful for the simple things. This visit will definetly be a very special part of our memories together.

Bishops Farm in Wheeland, CA

We took our annual trip to the Bishop's Farm in Wheeland, CA, about 20 minutes outside of Lincoln. We fed the animals, jumped on mattreses under hay, climbed on the tires and took the mandatory hayride which has been dramatically shortened due to the high gas prices. The kids had a great time and went home filthy.

Class Field Trip to the Farm

We had a great day on Morgan's field trip to the Lincoln Farm. The local high school actually has there own 400 acre farm where the students can come and learn how to run a farm, and take care of the animals. Morgan really enjoyed feeding the goats hay and thought that the pig was quite prickly. We got to ride the school bus which is always great fun....although I realized that I dont quite fit on them like I used to :)

First Day of 1st Grade!!

We can't believe that Morgan has started 1st grade. She is such a big girl now and loves her independence. She is such a confident and happy little girl. She wasn't nervous to start her first day, she beemed with excitement and was quick to say goodbye in the classroom. We are so proud of her.

It was time for bed and Tre' told Morgan that she needed to get movin and brush her teeth, that tomorrow we had to get up early for our long drive. Morgan replied, "Dad, my tail isn't bushy til' nine." We got a great laugh. We still dont know where she comes up with this stuff.

Jelly Belly Mania

Today we visited the Jelly Belly factory. You wouldn't believe it.........there were jelly beans everywhere!!! Go figure. We had to wait in a 1 hour line just to get in, but it was worth the wait. We saw how the jelly beans are made and packaged. It was very interesting for sure. When it was over we were given our very own bags of jelly belly's to enjoy on the ride home. Morgan and her cousins did trades throughout the ride home, trying to make up all sorts of recipes, while Kim and I pickely picked through the ones we knew we liked and the ones we didn't......which were exactly the same, of course :)

Morgans 6th Birthday

We can't believe our girl is 6! Morgan's birthday was full of surprises. She woke up and the first thing she wanted was to open Grandma and Papa's gift. She got a Gabriella and Sharpae doll from High School Musical as well as a microphone. From Mom and Dad, she got a new CD player for her room with the new hit wonder........Camp Rock! At lunch we picked up her 3 cousins, Kaela, Megan and Allie and went to the Habit for some burgers and then I surprised them with a trip to Girlfriendz. They got their hair done, nails and make-up and sang Karaoke. Had the time of their lives. Later around dinner, the Bills came over and had pizza and cake and continued to create more musical numbers for us to enjoy. What a great day!

Summer Theater Camp - Pioneer Children

Morgan enjoyed a week of theater camp where they practiced and performed a play about the pioneer children. She had to learn songs, dances and a script! She was an amazing little actress and said her lines perfectly! We were so proud of her. It was a wonderful experience for her and one that she enjoyed with her cousins Kaela and Megan.
